Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa

A leg-spinner from New South Wales' south coast, Adam Zampa earned a rookie contract with the Blues in 2010 after playing a role in Australia’s successful campaign at the Under-19 World Cup. He made his state debut in 2012 and showed some promise for both the Blues and Sydney Thunder before moving to South Australia in 2013. Highly rated by former Test leggie Kerry O’Keefe, Zampa took 12 wickets in five first-class matches in his debut season with the Redbacks and also played three games in the Ryobi Cup, taking three wickets and scoring 66 from 51 balls against Queensland. Australian cricket fans will know Zampa from his memorable performances in the Big Bash League, with both bat and ball. The right-arm leg spinner has shown form with both Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars and represented Australia at the World T20 in 2016. Zampa is becoming a mainstay in Australia's limited-overs teams.
