Pakistan is known to produce ferocious pacers over the years and the country’s soil seems to be rich in producing quality fast bowlers. We have already seen some young quickies taking the reins of Pakistan cricket into their hands and we expect the Asia Cup 2022 Pakistan squad to be packed with pace bowling options as well.

Last year, Pakistan saw a change in captaincy and Babar Azam took over from Sarfaraz Ahmed as Pakistan’s T20I captain. Even though he couldn’t really impress on Pakistan’s tour to Australia, but things looked much better when Pakistan played at home under his captaincy. It’s still early days for Babar in this new role of his and he can be expected to go up and down at times. Still, he’d be expected to lead his team from the front and inspire the lads with his batting prowess in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.

Who To Watch Out For?

Pakistan’s captain Babar Azam will be their key man with the bat for sure. He’s been the most reliable player in the squad lately and he’d be expected to continue his superb run of form moving forward. Pakistan would like to see heroics from the likes of Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Afridi, Muhammad Hasnain, and Shadab Khan in the upcoming event.
